Akler
EdTech · mobile app
Language learning app
We made the name, the concept, a mascot and four visual styles to choose from, then 120+ screens over 4 rounds of design.
You get a design for your app or website that you can click through, show to the people it's for and change before anyone writes code. We make the user flows, the screens for iPhone, Android and the web, a clickable prototype and the Figma files you keep. Our rate is $39-55 an hour, and the smallest project we take is $5,000. If we build the product too, design is part of an MVP at $5,000-15,000, typically 2-4 weeks. Clients rate us 4.8 out of 5 on Clutch from 70 reviews.
Files your developers can build from, and a prototype you can put in front of people before the product exists.
A map of every step a person takes: sign-up, the main task, payment and what happens when something goes wrong. Gaps show up here, while they're cheap to fix.
iPhone, Android and the web each have their own habits, so we adapt the screens instead of copying them. For Kanku we adapted the design for phones and tablets on both platforms.
You tap through the app on your phone as if it were built. Show it to users and see where they get stuck before you pay for development.
Colors, fonts, buttons and form fields live in one Figma library. New screens match the old ones, and developers reuse parts instead of drawing them again.
For when you start from zero. For EasySpk we picked the name, drew the logo and illustrations and chose the fonts and colors. Akler got its own mascot.
The Figma files and the prototype are yours. Any team can build from them, and so can we.
Many projects reach us with screens another team made. We keep the parts people use and fix the places where they give up.
BookWA came with another team's design that had gaps in its logic. We suggested a fresh start, and the new design went through 9 rounds. The app got 1,000+ downloads in its first 2 weeks.
Project Steps had a working MVP from another team. We redesigned 60+ screens in 1.5 weeks and put the daily stats on one home screen.
In HealthyNikah, search and filters moved into the main feed, and the separate search page went away. Profile screens got clearer sections in the brand's own style.
After Kosmo launched, we reworked the login, splash and subscription screens based on user feedback. Kosmo reached 64% conversion on Google Play.
You see the screens and can change them before anything is built. Design gets its own calls with you, as it did on HealthyNikah.
| Step | What we do | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | We agree who the product is for, the one main task and what waits for later. | A short written scope |
| Flows and wireframes | We map every step and sketch the screens in black and white, so the logic is right before we work on the looks. | Flows and wireframes you can comment on |
| Visual design | We pick a style, or follow your brand, and design each screen. You ask for changes until you're happy with it. | Final screens in Figma |
| Prototype and testing | We link the screens into a clickable prototype and test it with people from your audience. | A prototype on your phone and a list of fixes |
| Handoff or build | We prepare the design system and notes for your developers, or our team builds the product. | Files ready to build from |
Each card links to the full case study, with the screens we designed.

A redesign worked out with the client in separate design calls, with search moved into the main feed. 3,200+ members moved to the new app.

Brand and website
A new logo, fonts, colors and brand guidelines, then the website design. Lead generation got up to 60% more efficient.
The price follows the amount of work. These six things decide most of it.
A first version needs only the main screens. A full product needs far more: we designed 220+ screens for Dusfer, a planner app.
iPhone only is the quickest. Android, the web and tablets each add their own versions of the screens.
If you have a logo, fonts and colors, we follow them. If you don't, we make them first.
Each round of feedback adds time. BookWA went through 9 rounds while it changed from a review generator into a social app.
Your team needs screens too. For Ginger Snail we designed the admin panel where staff add study content.
Testing a prototype with users takes extra days, and a wrong turn costs less to fix in a prototype than in code.
Our rates are public. A free estimate tells you what your design will cost before we start.

What an MVP includes, what happens each week and the apps we launched.
Native iPhone apps in Swift, or one app for iPhone and Android, and the apps we built.
For first-time and non-technical founders: the co-founder option, a fractional CTO and help after launch.
What moves the price up or down, and what other agencies charge for an MVP.
Matching, safety, subscriptions and App Store rules for dating apps, and the ones we built.
Already started with another team? A code audit first, then we take the project over.
