AI Project Estimate

10 iOS app development companies compared (2026)

Rocketech wrote this comparison of ten iOS app development companies, and Rocketech is one of the ten. Our own figures first: a first iPhone app for $5,000-15,000 in 2-4 weeks plus App Store review, $39-55 an hour and a $5,000 minimum project. 20 of our case studies are native iOS apps. So you can check our work, the table is alphabetical, every figure links to its source, and every company gets one fact to check, including us. We checked all the figures on 26 October 2026.

How we picked and compared

On 26 October 2026 we read the six lists of iOS companies in Google's US results for "ios app development company" and "ios mobile app development company", including the AI Overviews: Business of Apps, N-iX, Blackthorn Vision, Konstant Infosolutions, Essential Designs and Clutch's iPhone app developers page. Sixteen companies were named in at least two of them. Ten of those have their headquarters in the US on Clutch and show an iPhone app they built on their own site. We kept the nine with the most Clutch reviews. Then we added ourselves.

How to choose an iOS app development company: 8 questions to ask

Ask every company the same questions, us included, and compare the answers side by side.

  1. Native Swift, or one app for iPhone and Android? Ask why they suggest it for your app.
  2. Which iPhone apps have you shipped, and can I download them? Look them up in the App Store and read the reviews.
  3. Whose Apple developer account will the app go out on? Yours, ideally, so the app stays yours.
  4. Who handles App Store review, and what if Apple rejects the app? Ask how they handled a rejection before.
  5. What is the total price, and what does it include? Design, the back end, testing and store setup are sometimes extra.
  6. When can I try the app on my own iPhone? Ask for a date for the first TestFlight build.
  7. Who owns the code and the designs? You should, from day one.
  8. What happens after launch? Ask who fixes bugs and updates the app for new iOS versions, and what it costs.
