AI Project Estimate

8 SaaS development companies compared (2026)

Rocketech wrote this comparison of eight SaaS development companies, and Rocketech is one of the eight. Our own figures first: a first SaaS release for $5,000-15,000 in 2-4 weeks, $39-55 an hour and a $5,000 minimum project. So you can check our work, the table is alphabetical, every figure links to its source, and every company gets one fact to check, including us. We checked all the figures on 26 October 2026.

How we picked and compared

On 26 October 2026 we read the five lists of SaaS companies in Google's US results for "saas development company", including its AI Overview: DICEUS, Vivasoft, Euristiq, Ontik Technology and DesignRush. Nine companies were named in at least two of them. We kept the seven whose Clutch profile lists an office in the US or UK and who show a SaaS project on their own site. Then we added ourselves.

How to choose a SaaS development company: 8 questions to ask

Ask every company the same questions, us included, and compare the answers side by side.

  1. What will the first release do, and what will it leave out? Get both lists in writing.
  2. How will you keep each customer's data apart? Ask how accounts, roles and data are split between your customers.
  3. Who builds sign-up, plans and payments? Ask whether trials, invoices and taxes are in the price.
  4. Who owns the code, the designs and the cloud accounts? If you pay for the build, you should, from day one.
  5. What will hosting cost each month? Ask for a rough number at 100 customers and at 10,000.
  6. How often will I see working software? Every week or two is a good sign.
  7. What happens after launch? Bug fixes, monitoring and updates: who does them, and what do they cost?
  8. Can I talk to two founders whose SaaS you built? Ask them what went wrong and how it was fixed.
