About project

We are Rocketech and for over 8 years we have been helping companies to build and improve their products.

We are often reached by ambitious teams from the US, Europe and Asia that want to implement their idea in code, create a site or an application. Moreover, we gladly advise and help them to define a roadmap.

Now Rocketech has more than 40 people and more than 10 projects at various stages.

Our teams work remotely worldwide — from Europe, the USA, Asia. Our headquarters are situated in Singapore.

Over the years of work, we have created many successful cases. To be more precise, we:

  • Developed more than 100 products for more than 70 clients;
  • Received Clutch “Gold Verified Partner” award;
  • Cover 20+ industries.

At the moment, we are looking for a Middle IT Lawyer (task-based) who can support us with urgent legal tasks — from contract review to helping with IP, data protection or risk-related issues.

Important point: this vacancy implies freelance (on demand) cooperation.

What you have to deal with

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating service agreements (NDA, MSA, SOW, DPA, licensing terms);
  • Supporting our deals and operations from the legal side: contracts, due diligence, compliance;
  • Advising on matters of IP, data protection (GDPR, PDPA, etc.), and software licensing;
  • Assisting in risk assessment and internal policy development;
  • Helping structure relationships with clients, contractors, and partners worldwide;
  • Monitoring regulatory changes relevant to our markets and suggesting best practices;
  • Collaborating with internal teams (sales, PMs, ops) and external advisors when needed.

What we expect from you

  • 2+ years of legal experience in IT, SaaS, or tech-related businesses;
  • Solid knowledge of international contract law and intellectual property law;
  • Hands-on experience with English-language contracts and cross-border deals;
  • Understanding of the IT product life cycle and outsourcing/dedicated team models;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple terms;
  • A legal degree (preferably with a focus on international, corporate, or IT law);
  • A good grasp of IP, data protection basics (e.g., GDPR), and service model structuring;
  • The ability to work quickly and independently;
  • Upper-intermediate English or higher;
  • Availability now or within the next few hours after you start working with our company.

What we offer

  • Quick onboarding and context (we’ll brief you on Slack or Notion);
  • Pay-per-hourly;
  • Friendly and responsive ops & legal team;
  • Opportunity for future collaboration on global project.

Only 2 interview stages lie between our first meet and offer! In any case, our interview is always a pleasant experience, so waiting for your CV.
