The challenge

A client asked our team to develop a simple application that would combine all the tools for creating and sending digital cards in one place. The task was to implement functionality for two versions: free with basic options and paid with additional options. According to the author's idea, the program should be not only convenient but inspiring for creativity.

So we met another challenge: to think over the user interface and design it in a bright, eye-catching style. We were required to implement all the ideas in a tight timeframe and budget.

The solution

The Rocketech team developed a creative interface and implemented several useful custom features available in basic and advanced formats.

Concise functionality
The functionality of the app is simple and straightforward. You can quickly get from the main screen to the groups of templates: Invitation and Postcard. When you select a group, a list of categories by holidays and a selection of templates appears. The bottom panel makes it easy to navigate through the sections: Home, Favorites, Scheduling, and Settings.

Subscription model
Additional functions of the app are paid and are opened to the user only after the subscription. The user receives the possibility to add templates to bookmarks, view the list of events, work with wish lists, and even turn off annoying ads.

Built-in database of templates
The app has a huge number of digital templates (both free and paid) for creating invitations and cards for various holidays and events. For the convenience of searching, all templates are combined into thematic collections that differ in design and congratulatory inscriptions.

Unique editing tool
All templates already have a greeting text, but the user can easily edit and personalize them. The built-in editor allows you to enter your data on a scheduled event or party: name, date, time, location, etc.

Saving and sending pictures
After editing the template, the user can preview the finished invitation/postcard and make a decision: continue editing, download the picture on the phone and save in the gallery, or send it to a friend.

Favorite templates
To save a template, the user who has subscribed may add it to the Favorites folder and come back later. This folder is implemented as a standard for all templates: just switch from a group of invitations to a group of postcards.

Convenient event planner
Two separate functions are dedicated to planning, available by subscription: event list and wish list. Scrolling them, you can add and edit event data (name, date, time, or location), select event participants and write comments. The plan can be saved and sent to a friend in just one click.

Flexible settings
The app is easy to use and configure. The Settings block offers many helpful features: Subscription, Disable ads (paid), Restore purchases. Here the user can read the important information (Privacy Policy, Terms of Use) and seek advice (Support).

Expert support
In case of any problems with the application, users can seek help from the 24/7 support team. When sending a message to the support mail, information about the app version, device model, system version, and locale is also sent. It significantly simplifies communication.

Creative design
The user interface is intuitive and not overloaded with details. To achieve aesthetic appeal, the development team found a balance between bright colors, gradients (for general design), and calm shades (for buttons, elements, and icons).
